Upgrade and The First Purge

Two fables. Gritty, violence-filled thrillers about the dangers of modern society and the not-so-distant outlook if we continue on in this way. Post-credit scene? No.

Crazy Rich Asians

Rachel Chu (Constance Wu) accompanies her long-time boyfriend, Nick (Henry Golding), to his best friend’s wedding in Singapore. Once there, she realizes that there is a lot more to Nick than she once knew (to the tune of a couple million dollars and a very, very, very rich family). Rachel must now contend with jealous socialites, quirky relatives and something far, far worse — Nick’s disapproving mother (Michelle Yeoh).

Our Take: See it. Read all the books. Wait impatiently with us for the sequel.
Post-credit scene? There’s a mid-credits scene (and we’re living for it).
